Alpha ZXT Review

Alpha ZXT is a popular brain-boosting supplements claimed to help you achieve higher cognitive ability, focus, and better memory.

I’ve seen a lot of “brain-boosters” and am always on the lookout for something to help me focus and remember, so I was excited to see a high-profile product.

I decided to take a closer look at Alpha ZXT: what’s inside, who makes it, how much it costs, etc. Let’s see if it’s worth our time and money.

The Ingredient Blend

The key to any supplement’s effectiveness is in the ingredients. Unfortunately, the official Alpha ZXT site doesn’t have a product label or ingredients list.

It’s a red flag when companies don’t tell you what’s in their supplements. That usually means the ingredients are in low doses or are fillers.

Thankfully, a third-party website posted pictures of the ingredient label, so we can do an in-depth analysis:

Phosphatidylserine – 125 mg

Phosphatidylserine is the featured ingredient in Alpha ZXT. It’s a common compound widely used to treat age-related brain disorders, like Alzheimer’s and dementia. It boosts nerve ability and improve memory in patients.

While it’s great for age-related issues, phosphatidylserine lacks evidence as a general brain-boosting ingredient. Alpha ZXT also includes less than 1/3 the amount used in most clinical studies. [1]

Bacopa Monnieri – 100 mg

Bacopa monnieri is a natural ingredient extracted from a common herb. It’s used to improve endorphin production and relieve anxiety.

Research shows bacopa effectively improves memory and cognitive function. While the 100 mg is Alpha ZXT is a low dose, it should still be mildly effective. [2]

Vinpocetine 2 mg

Vinpocetine is another natural compound and comes from the periwinkle plant. Like phosphatidylserine, it’s used for Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders among the elderly.

Vinpocetine has become popular in general brain supplements because of its ability to stimulate specific nerve receptors and boost memory function. Studies show it’s effective and safe for general use. [3] [4]

Unfortunately, Alpha ZXT’s 2 mg dose is very small. Most brain supplements contain more vinpocetine to take advantage of its effectiveness.

DMAE Bitartrate – 50 mg

DMAE Bitartrate is a naturally-occurring antioxidant similar to choline. It interacts with neurotransmitter production, which sounds like a great way to improve brain function.

While it certainly sounds good, there isn’t any research showing DMAE Bitartrate improves cognitive ability, focus, or memory for anyone without an age-related cognitive issue. [5]

Alpha ZXT also contains Glutamine, Ginkgo Biloba, and St. John’s Wort. These additional ingredients all lack solid evidence to support the promised claims.

Overall, there are a few good ingredients in Alpha ZXT, but the doses are all on the low end. It will most likely be effective, but the results will be very mild.

Price and Availability

There are several sites offering AlphaZXT, but they all link back to the official website: GetAlphaZXT.com. Here are the prices:

• 1 Bottle: $49.99
• 3 Bottles: $113.82 ($38 per bottle)
• 5 Bottles: $149.95 ($30 per bottle)

Finding the price options is somewhat difficult. The website requires your shipping information before displaying prices. It then has a flashing 5-minute timer encouraging you to input your credit card.

Customer Satisfaction

Alpha ZXT is claimed to be backed by a 60-day money-back guarantee, protecting you if you aren’t satisfied. Guarantees like this give a kind of “buffer” for your purchase so you don’t lose money.

Looking for customer reviews is difficult. There are dozens of websites claiming Alpha ZXT is an amazing supplement, but these are just fake reviews with big buttons to purchase the product.

Thankfully, many customers have stated on third-party review sites that the refund is not honored. The company behind Alpha ZXT evidently doesn’t respond to refund requests, and many customers say they were billed incorrectly.

This poor experience is probably not the case for everyone, but I found enough examples to be worrisome.

Dosage And Amounts

Alpha ZXT’s dosage is simple. Take 1 capsule half an hour before breakfast with water. You can increase the dosage to 2 capsules, but make sure to not repeat later in the day.

Advertising Concerns

Alpha ZXT is widely advertised, and the website has a banner that says, “Featured in The New York times, USA TODAY, and NBC.”

I looked at the ads, and they’re certainly impressive. They feature cover articles on TIME Magazine and National Geographic with celebrity endorsements from the likes of Tiger Woods and even Stephen Hawking.

Oddly enough, when I searched for the magazine issues themselves, I found the covers are completely different. The ads for Alpha ZXT use doctored images of these magazines. None of the claimed publications has ever featured Alpha ZXT.

In addition, the interviews and endorsements by celebrities are completely fabricated. None of these people have ever supported Alpha ZXT. Simply put, the ads are outright lies.

I’m honestly kind of shocked at the brazenness of the company. The ads are clearly faked and seriously damage the reputation of the product.

The Verdict

While it does contain 2 clinically-proven ingredients, I can’t recommend Alpha ZXT. It’s full of unproven ingredients or fillers, and the effective compounds are present in very small doses.

In addition, the website seems focused on tricking you into purchasing, without information, than providing a high-quality product. Finally, with the difficulty in finding the manufacturer and numerous fraudulent ads, we’re left with a very poor picture.

There are effective nootropic and memory-boosting supplements out there, from reputable companies who make quality products and are transparent. However, Alpha ZXT is not one of them.
